AKS COURSE PROGRAMME

The following is an outline of the AKS Course Programme with a brief description of the content, duration and expected objectives. Additional detailed information per course is available on request including available languages.

AKS STARTER-PACK I

60 hours during 10 calendar weeks

This course includes a comprehensive introduction to the foreign language with a focus on the communicative aspects as opposed to the written word. The course is tailored to the requirements of the students, i.e. the company’s working enviroment, industry and the students’ professions.

The AKS Starter Pack I is a cost-effective introduction to the AKS methodology for students with some previous background knowledge of the foreign language to be studied. It is a starting platform for further education within the exciting and motivating framework of AKS.

AKS STARTER-PACK II

90 hours during 15 calendar weeks

This is an extension of the AKS Starter Pack I or for students with a similar skill profile. The participants will progress and expand their communicative language skills. The general objective is a high degree of verbal proficiency in typical job-related situations, including

understanding of business cultures and rules. The 30 extra hours as opposed to the AKS Starter-Pack I is added in order to give the participants ample possibilities to practise their obtained language skills in real-life contexts.

AKS III SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT

36 hours during 6 calendar weeks or 36 hours during 6 days. (subject to requirement & time)

As the name indicates, this course is designed to address the need for one or more professionals who are faced with an important assignment requiring refreshing of language skills, e.g. to conduct an overseas presentation, stage an exhibition, new product launching, act as an expatriate for overseas offices etc. The course material is focused solely on the assignment with a view to maximise the impact considering the time allowed prior to the assignment. This course is divided into several independent courses in order to give the customer guidance as to what direction and content the specific training programme can or should have (please see product’s leaflet).

AKS IV ONE-TO-ONE I&II

48 hours during 8 calander weeks or 60 hours during 10 calendar weeks (or individually designed schedule)

This is an alternative for companies that believe in individual high-impact education for key personnel, typically executives with difficulties to attend regular classes due to busy time schedules. The course is also recommended for individuals with unique requirements or

skill background where there is not enough participants available to justify a class based course.

AKS V CHEC (Comprehensive High Efficiency Course)

60 hours during 2 calendar weeks or 150 hours during 5 calendar weeks

A course for the individual who wishes to aquire maximum knowledge during a relatively short period with the emphasis on business communication.

The course is designed to take place partly in the target country of the foreign language in order to maximise the impact. Part of the stay abroad takes place at a company similar to the one the participants represent. Students attending this course must communicate easily in the

target language. Tuition abroad will take place at one of our partner schools throughout Europe.

AKS VI BEGINNERS’ COURSE I&II

84 hours during 14 calendar weeks or 120 hours during 20 calendar weeks.

Two alternative courses for participants with no knowledge or experience of the foreign language or business culture. The course comprises all basic elements concerning the grammatical structure, phonetic features, vocabulary and communicative aspects of the foreign language. In addition to this, the course gives a close study of the cross-cultural

differences, e.g. modern business enviroment and social culture. Both beginners’ courses give access to AKS Starter-Pack I and II.
